This course introduces digital competencies - the skills and knowledge people need to flourish in the new digital world. Digital competence goes beyond "computer" skills to understanding how technology is changing the abilities we need to be fully functioning members of the modern world.
The digital competencies in this course are drawn from a range of government, business (employment) and education sources. Six key competency areas are introduced along with three to four detailed competencies within each of the six areas.
After an overview of the competencies, there is a worksheet to consider the student's level of proficiency in these areas. Self-assessment is a great first step in becoming more aware of your digital competence.
